Pastor Kim E. Graves

Pastor Gerald L. Graves, Founder (1945-2011)

Our Founder...

We thank God for Pastor Gerald L. Graves, whom God birthed New Vision through.  Pastor Graves laid the foundation for our church on Jesus Christ -- no other foundation. Pastor Kim continues to build on the same foundation, as we go from GLORY to GLORY. Come grow with us at the Vision!

Matthew 19:14

But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.

Psalm 107:8

Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!

Psalm 133:1

Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!

Psalm 118:23

This is the LORD's doing; it is marvellous in our eyes.

Pastor Kim was interviewed by John Tuohy, Indy Star Reporter, and her comments were printed; Evangelist Carol was photographed, and her picture printed. The article talked about high crime and shootings in 6 'hot spots' in Indianapolis. Click HERE to read article.

How we praise God.

We believe that God dwells in the midst of praise and worship, according to the Holy Scriptures. We praise Him with musical instruments, we praise Him in the song and dance, we praise Him with our lips, we praise Him with the clapping of our hands, we praise him through the arts, we praise Him with our lifestyle (Psalm 150).

What we believe.

We believe in the one living and true God, both holy and loving, eternal, unlimited in power, wisdom, goodness, the Creator and preserver of all things. Within this unity there are three persons of one essential nature, power and eternity – the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, these three are one (1 John 5:7-8; Eph. 4:5-6; Deut. 6:4).

Speaking in Tongues.

We believe in speaking in tongues as the Spirit gives utterance, and that speaking in tongues is the initial evidence of the infilling of the Holy Ghost. The five-fold purpose for speaking tongues: 1) To control the whole person (James 3:8). 2) For a sign (1 Corinthians 14:22; Acts 2:8, 11). 3) To speak to God (1 Corinthians 14:2). 4) For edification (1 Corinthians 14:4; Romans 8:26). 5) As a weapon of warfare (Ephesians 6:18).

Repentance and Faith.

We believe that for men and women to appropriate what God’s preeminent grace has made possible, they must voluntarily respond in repentance and faith. The ability comes from God, but the act is the individuals (Acts 2:38).

Justification, Regeneration and Adoption.

We believe that when one repents of personal sin and believes on the Lord Jesus Christ, that at the same moment that person is justified, regenerated, adopted into the family of God, and assured of personal salvation through the witness of the Holy Spirit (Romans 10:9).

Sanctification: Initial, Progressive, Entire.

We believe that sanctification is that work of the Holy Spirit by which the child of God is separated from sin unto God and is enabled to love God with all the heart and to walk in His holy commandments (love), blameless. Sanctification is initiated at the moment of justification and regeneration. From that moment there is a gradual or progressive sanctification as the believer walks with God and daily grows in grace and in a more perfect (mature) obedience to God (Romans 12:1-2).

Article I.  Name and Founder

a)  The name of the Church shall be New Vision Ministries, Inc., d/b/a New Vision.  The founder is Pastor Gerald L. Graves. On September 25, 2011, God called Pastor Graves home to be with Him in Heaven. Pastor Kim E. Graves was anointed by God and appointed by Pastor Gerald L. Please continue to pray for New Vision as together we "shift" and build on the foundation laid by our beloved Pastor Gerald L. Graves, which is Jesus Christ. Our history.

Article II. Purpose and Mission

a)   New Vision is called to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the beliefs of the evangelical Christian faith, to maintain the worship of God, and to inspire in all persons a love for Jesus Christ, a passion for holiness, and a consciousness of their duties to God and fellow human beings. We pledge our lives to Jesus Christ, and covenant with each other to demonstrate God’s Spirit through worship, witnessing, and ministry to the needs of the people of this Church and the community.

b)  New Vision will carry out its mission on earth by preparing men, women and children for Kingdom-living, and by equipping and empowering them to become fishers of men for Kingdom-building (Matthew 4:19; Mark 1:17).

Article III.  Structure

a)   New Vision is founded upon the structure of the five-fold ministry as set forth in God’s Holy Word: “And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets, and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ.” (Ephesians 4:11-12).
